Apple Releases First Public Beta of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, and More [Download]

Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and tvOS 26.1 for users to test. The release follows the seeding of the first developer betas earlier this week.

This first point update focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements following the major software releases last week, but it also delivers on Apple's promise to expand language support for some of its newest features. The update adds a host of new languages to both Apple Intelligence and the AirPods Live Translation feature. AirPods Live Translation now supports Chinese, Italian, Japanese, and Korean, while the broader Apple Intelligence feature set is rolling out to eight additional languages, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, and Portuguese.


You can join the Apple Beta Software Program here to try out the new software. Once enrolled, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your device and select the public beta from the "Beta Updates" row.
