Pegatron has received orders for a CDMA iPhone which will ship in Q4, according to a DigiTimes report.
Pegatron will also start shipping a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 to Apple in the fourth quarter and is currently using its plants in Shanghai, China to produce the products, the sources noted. The company is also working on gaining orders for MacBooks and iPads from Apple, added the sources.
Droid-Life reports that Verizon paid a huge amount of money to Apple for the ability to carry the iPhone.
Apparently Verizon hopes that an iPhone deal will make them money in the long run as the rumored amount of cash they forked over for this was more than something extraordinary. So when does Verizon plan on making their announcement? My source says July, but Im hesitant to jump on that as Big Red has the Droid X launching on July 19th and the Droid 2 coming just weeks later.

Well, it doesn't make sense for Apple. They don't announce products like that. They have dedicated times. June, iphone. Fall ipod, and now late winter ipad. Repeat.
If anything it may be a testing device for next year. After all they do take more than a year to make. Steve even said iphone 4 was in development for 18 months. That's obviously well before the 3gs was even launched.
