i could see a lot of apps loaded on the iphone 2g. think that could impact on the speed in performing the operations. also i think the iphone 3gs runs the heavy iphone 4.0. microsoft was criticised for developing a heavy os vista and it required lot of resources to run it smoothly and i beleive apple is kind of doing the same mistake here.

If the iPhone 3G had iOS4.0, it would be definitely slower than everyother device.

what do you mean pvg? and what OS is each using. thats important. i would like to see a chart with the optimal OS version for each iphone generation to get best speed out of phone.

what is this that makes your 3g second generation faster? I love my phone but it is very slow and since I updated with the new software on itunes it really messed it up!
