Verizon to Allow Customers to Watch Live TV on iPad

Verizon has announced that soon FiOS subscribers will be able to watch live TV on their iPads but only from inside their home, according to newteevee.

Verizon CIO Shaygan Kheradpir says the tech work for making the streams available to iPad users is already done. The company is now in discussions to make sure content providers are comfortable with subscribers having the ability to watch TV on another device.

There will be certain limitations at the launch of the app. At first, subscribers with an iPad will only be able to watch linear programming within their own home, which allows Verizon to authenticate and make certain that the users have access to whatever content they have paid for.

It's expected that Verizon will launch their application early next year.
