Apple has posted the new iOS 4.1 GM Seed firmware and SDK for developers. They can be downloaded from the iOS Dev Center.
The SDK is build 10M2309 and the firmware is build 8B117. During today's Apple Special Event it was announced that iOS 4.1 would be released next week and includes fixes for the iPhone 4 Proximity Sensor, Bluetooth issues, and performance issues with the iPhone 3G.
New in iOS 4.1 is High Dynamic Range photos which takes three pictures at different exposures and combines them to produce the best output. Also, Game Center will finally make its public debut.

Well, may be it is worth to hold on with Jailbreak release till November's 4.2 firmware
Otherwise we all may wait way longer since Nov 4.2 release

i think 4.1 is a firmware that's worth jailbreaking and unlocking. 4.2 is still months away so it should be fine to release another. gotta keep the hackers occupied and let them have some fun =].

I don't agree that they should wait. If anything, they may delay the 4.2 iOS because it's only for iPad exclusively. 4.1 is for all iDevices including the iPad so maybe release this jb/unlock for non-iPadders (lol) since they're a bigger community than iPad. Not only that, but it would give the dev's something to look at now considering that jailbreakme's loophole has been patched apparently, so, who knows, I hope it's just a simple tweak of code that allows the new jb to work without massive amounts of restructure.
