Safari Extension Converts All YouTube Videos to HTML5

Safari Extension Converts All YouTube Videos to HTML5

Posted October 25, 2010 at 8:15pm by iClarified
An unofficial Safari 5 extension removes the need to use flash on YouTube by converting all videos to their HTML5 tag equivalents. It also has the benefits of decreased CPU usage compared to flash, and the removal of in-video ads.

Compared to the Youtube HTML5 beta, this extension coverts all videos, even those with ads such as Vevo. You can also view videos in HD by selecting it in system preferences (720p or 1080p). To download the extension, click here(make sure you have extension enabled)
