Apple Gives iPhone Headphones Contract to Hon Hai, Cheng Uei

Hon Hai and Cheng Uei have managed to snap up Apple's contract orders for iPhone headphones from Japan's FOSTER, according to a CENS report.
FOSTER has been the exclusive maker of iPhone headphones for a while. However, starting in 2011, part of headphones for iPhones will be supplied by the two Taiwanese electronic manufacturers, with Hon Hai making wires and assembling the device, and Cheng Uei producing cords, loudspeakers and control switch modules.
The switched orders are worth as much as NT$5-10 billion and will bring growth momentum for Hon Hai and Cheng Uei in the future. As iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad sales continue to skyrocket so will the demand for the headphones.
Cheng Uei will also supply iPad chargers for Apple.
On a trip into Boston I forgot my Sony headphones. I found a pair of he apple ones in my backpack for the train ride in. I got of the train, walked into best buy and purchased a new set of head phones.
I would rather have a second sync cable than their head phones.
But yet walking around Boston I see many people using them.
