iOS 4.3 lets you choose between using the iPad's side switch to mute or lock the orientation of your device.
The iOS 4.2 update made the questionable change from using the switch as an orientation lock to making it mute the device.
When questioned about the change Steve Jobs reportedly said it would be permanent and not customizable. It looks like he changed his mind.
