This doesn't seem to work with 3G unrestrictor? Any ideas
Also be great to be able to use whilst in hotels abroad. Will that work ?

No as you will have an IP outside of the UK. So it will block you out like the site

I thout that, but with a PC you can go fool/spoof into thinking your still in the UK.
Just wondered if you could do the same with the iPad.

You can watch BBC iplayer if you can setup a VPN with a UK server. I have an a/c with https://vpnuk.info/ you can use any VPN provider. You will get a UK IP address and be able to watch iplayer when abroad. This solution works for both ipad and PC.

using DDWRT you can setup a VPN using your home router.
