RiP Dev has released installer 4.0 Beta 3 to developers for testing. Thanks go to IPSF for being the first to notice this.
The new release includes the following updates: * Custom HTML pages work for packages * Fixed failing dependencies * Added ChangeMode script command * Added ChangeOwner script command * Expanded Exec script command so arguments can contain spaces * Added revisions for version numbers * Contact button working now

how come is taking developers so long to upgrade their apps to work in installer 4 with 2.0 when they are clearly releasing them at the appstore wich is also 2.0?

This is NOT for Public use.
Installer.app is still being tested by Developers to work out the bugs before it is released
to the public.
I strongly recommend you don't install it!
Especially since you've already shown you don't have the knowledge to install it.
That clearly tells me your not a Developer.
If you want to install 3rd party applications on your iPhone or iPod Touch
Download the WinPwn or Pwnage tool and Jailbreak and install Cydia.
If you don't know how to do this, You should have someone else that does do it for you.
