Saurik has ported the old MobileFinder from 1.1.x to 2.x. This new version will provide more functionality then the sandboxed version in the AppStore.
You can install MobileFinder from the Cydia Installer.
----- Sometimes you just need to make a quick little change to the file system, and you don't want to have to use your desk or laptop to do it. On 1.1.x there was a solution: MobileFinder. Unfortunately, the authors never ported it to 2.x. Instead, they built a version for the App Store and are selling it. The only problem: that copy is sandboxedc to its tiny little folder and can't do anything reasonable on the system (thank you Apple).
At some point I (saurik) noticed that the old MobileFinder ws open source, and have been spending time porting it to 2.x. Here are the results of my labor. I doubt it fully works, but it seems to mostly work.
Please understand that I'm not the author of MobileFinder and don't really want to be in the business of improving it, but if there are any regressions from MobileFinder on 1.1.x I'd love to hear about them. -----

Can you email files from the app? Can you place files such as word and excel through FTP and view them, like you can with the App Store version?

thks 4 da reply. But it didn't help me. Neither am I able to save settings nor open any media files. I did the fix me option. The files(appstore) app is also similar, I am unable to see folders which don't have perm as 700, as in /private/var/mobile/Library/ I can see only 3 folders, rest all folders are marked red(also in mobileFinder appstore).
