Apple is reportedly paying Elan Microelectronics $5 million to settle a patent dispute between the companies, according to a FocusTaiwan report.
Elan Microelectronics, a chip and touch screen maker, announced today that it had settled with Apple out of court.
The two parties have come to an agreement that they have interactive authorization of patents, with the U.S. high-tech giant giving US$5 million to the Taiwanese firm, according to Elan.
