Tim Cook: 'The Tablet and the PC are Different' [Video]

Apple CEO Tim Cook said at the 10th D:All Things Digital conference that in his view the tablet and the PC are different and you can do things with the tablet if you're not incumbered by the legacy of the PC.

"In my view, the tablet and the PC are different," he said. "You can do things with the tablet if you are not encumbered by the legacy of the PC. … Products are about trade-offs, and you have to make tough decisions. You have to choose. And if you don't, you wind up not building the best product."

Wrong obi san! Tim Cook doesn't seem to see into the future as he should. Win8 tablets will prove that its great concept to have both in same device. There is no reason why not. You dock your tablet to keyboard dock and you have fully blown computer OS with your desktop applications - and when you deattach it you got your tablet, light user interface with your apps. The performance of tablets are already enough for this so why not use the full potential of the device? Not sure why they dont see it! I hope W8 will end up been success since it would be great way to show that Apple can be wrong too!

Hey.. Welcome the the year 2001.. This was done before the iPad and never worked and will never work! The success of the iPad prove you wrong and Tim Cook right.
