Apple has released a minor update to the Mac Pro which unfortunately does not bring Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, or a redesign.
Here are the standard configurations offered:

12-Core ● Two 2.4GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon processors ● 12GB (six 2GB) memory ● 1TB hard drive ● 18x SuperDrive ● ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB GDDR5 $3,799.00
Server ● One 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor ● 8GB (four 2GB) memory ● Two 1TB hard drives ● OS X Lion Server ● ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB GDDR5 $2,999.00

What kind of Xeon-CPUs are used in these Mac Pro? Xeon E5?

Proof that Apple will be terminating the Mac Pro pretty soon.
On top of not having 3.0 for a supposed "workstation", Mac Pro continues to be grossly over priced.
I can build a better much faster machine for half the price.
Shame on you Apple, for ignoring your pro customer base yet again.

Not sure what this is...no SATA 3! Apples about to lose the mac pro line....
