Getting rid of the 17" MacBook pro is down right stupid. 15" screens are small and macs are used with a lot of programs that require screen real estate wtf is wrOng with you apple.

agreed; however, the new retina 15" can display 1920x1200 if needed. (same as the latest 17" mbp) Yes, text and icons will be smaller, yet i'm guessing the new retina resolution ill make it more readible than we are expecting.

The i5 is only on one model which is the lower end 13 inch. They do that for the people that just want an entry level MBP and don't need all the power. If you want a 13inch with and i7 get the next step up. Or you have the option of getting any one of the 15s which have quad i7s.

Over priced junk? Give me a break. Look at the history and statistics and see which ones have lasted longer? A friend of mine and me personally have had the same MacBook pros for a little over 3 years and including other newer macs and have never had 1 major problem. And then there's another close friend of mine who's had 3-4 of your so called cheaper and faster higher end pc laptops and 2 desktops in less than 3 years. Each one of them took a shit on him in less than a year. Thousands of $$$ down the drain. Macs Over priced junk? I think not. think it's the other way around. Oh and the friend that had the shitty PCs. He switched to Macs. Has had them for less than 4 months and said he'll never go back To PCs. Even though he's still using windows 7 occasionally on a few of his macs. Which seems to work and run better on a Mac than junk machines it was made for. and another friend

oh and 1920x1200 display real estate? yeah, the new mbp can do that.. and the text will still be more readible than your 17" 1920x1200
