AT&T has reportedly denied rumors of a vacation blackout beginning September 21st. The blackout aligned with rumors of a Verizon vacation blackout and its timing appeared right for the launch of the iPhone 5.
9to5Mac contacted a company spokesperson who denied the report.
"Not true!" we heard. We reached out to AT&T to see what it had to say regarding the above. An AT&T spokesperson told us this morning that there is no company-wide vacation blackout for the end of September.
We also talked to AT&T reps at other stores who implied more people are being put on duty, depending on staffing levels of that particular store, but there is no "blackout."
Of course, Apple wants any details about its new iPhone release kept secret, so it's unclear if the company line on this should be trusted.
No, absolutely wrong. The reason why AT&T is denying the rumours is because they don't want the public to stop purchasing AT&T current products and subscriptions to their services. I walked in AT&T store with a friend that has a AT&T account and my friend was conversations with the employee, where the employee blatantly argues and denies that any Apple products is going to be release in September. Several people start to laugh because AT&T does not realise that reliable resources including 2010-wins radio mentions the new releases and reveals of Apple products on Septembet 12, 2012. AT&T does this because they need to get rid of current stock. AT&T thinks people are stupid...
