AT&T is now offering the iPhone 3G for sale on its website allowing users to activate their new iPhone at home.
You need to sign up for a two-year commitment and you can only buy one iPhone online per household. If you wish to buy additional handsets you will still need to go into the AT&T Store.

you do not know if they sell you online until you press confirm and wait few days.
After a week you get email "please visit us at to finalize online purchase of your iphone."
