Just needs to let you check your voicemail too.
Since you can't receive calls when app. is closed, It would be nice to see who called you while you are away from your actual phone/skype on computer.

I did a skype_out call while on 3G. I thought that was not supported? I'm using the 3.0 beta firmware.

I got a warning to update to 2.2 on a 2.1JB 3G. I have been able to log in but no luck making calls yet. Whole phone freezes up having to resort to the 2 button reset. Not a good start for such a long awaited app but I'm sure they'll sort it out. Just happy to finally have skype.

Skype is available in App Store, so you can download from there, or App Store in the iPhone. I installed Skype this morning and I'm in Ontario.

On CBC news's website:
Chaim Haas, a public relations representative acting on behalf of Skype, said the application is available in every country in which the iPhone is on sale and in which Apple has an iTunes Store with the exception of Canada.
Haas said this is because of patent-licence restrictions but would not elaborate except to specify that it is a patent issue related to Skype, not Apple
