BeeJiveIM 3.0 with push notifications enabled is now available in the Apple App Store. While the application description has not yet been updated customers who have downloaded the iPhone app are reporting the update.
BeeJiveIM connects you to AIM/MobileMe, MSN/Windows Live, Yahoo, GoogleTalk, Facebook, MySpace, ICQ, and Jabber... all at the same time.
In order to use the push notification feature you will need to be running the iPhone OS 3.0 firmware.
For a limited time the application is available at a cost of $9.99.
*Note: Unfortunately, after installing this update I receive a pin.mismatch error when attempting to log into any account. Not sure if this is an isolated incident or a bug in the update.
*Update: To fix this error remove BeeJiveIM from the iPhone. Then do a sync with BeeJiveIM manually deselected from the application sync list. Then do a second sync with BeeJiveIM reselected. You will need to reenter your account info once the application is reinstalled.

this is an ongoing issue, apparently apple glitched the push notification on unlocked iphones 2G, people are experiencing this on beejive as well as AIM app

Is your iPhone Jailbroken / Unlocked? What iPhone Generation is it? Is it AT&T Activated?
Thanks!

It's an iPhone 2G unlocked and jailbroken on the O2-UK network, I'm on a payasyougo plan and don't have any credit on the iPhone but still seem to get notification when I get a new message even though Beejive isclosed and I'm in another app or the phones at lockscreen.

Did you active it legitimately via iTunes?

Awayze - June 24, 2009 at 8:05am
Yeh that's the problem, if you're not legally activated, PUSH WILL NOT WORK!!!

Can you access the AppStore on the iPhone? Because I'm having the same issue and I want to see if it's related with not being able to log in to the AppStore on the iPhone.

Aww.. I'm going to restore, see if that helps. If you try restoring please post the results, and also the carrier or if you're on WiFi.

well, i have tested push on both wifi and edge it doesnt work, the firmware is running fine though so i am not restoring, i have tested push on my friend's iphone 2g as well same problem so i guess restoring wont solve anything, just need to wait and see if the dev team releases a fix for this problem, so far they have been working great, i just unlocked my friend's 3g using ultra snow, works like a charm :)

Hi zigy24~
Thanks for the input.
Could you confirm that the 2G iPhone has no app push with an offical source?

Jawad - June 23, 2009 at 12:56pm
hey :)
i have read many articles about this problem, the push notifications menu and options are all there but the data is not pushed. iphone dev team is aware of the problem and may release a fix soon or maybe not.

websdras - June 23, 2009 at 3:25pm
There is no one jailbroken iphone 2G that has push notifications!!!!! Is there a problem with the jailbrake???? or apple is restricting the notifications just to "LEGAL" iphones????

There is another error, Signing into yahoo dosent work, it says "Network timed out" and retrying a lot of times it says :Exceeded max # of ports", spoke to Beejive support and they said they are working on it as Yahoo has changed servers.
