how much does an international SMS cost? just wondering if it's cheaper than biteSMS...

I'm currently using skype for sms and it utterly sucks, interface-wise. The send button is right next to the space bar and backspace, so I'm constantly sending multiple messages instead of just one.
The only thing that's keeping me from biteSMS is the fact that it's so much cheaper. Skype is 1.19cents per sms, whereas biteSMS is 10cents per sms, both in Aussies dollars.
I'm tossing up whether it's worth switching for centralised messaging and no stupid interface, or sticking with the cheaper option.

Looks like you can only send SMS via Wifi...that sucks.

not at all! it works as a charm to send over EDGE too if u have VoIPover3G tweak from Cydia. Both 2G and 3G.

This update would have been enough a few months ago.
What apps need now is push notification, once again,
Skype is far behind...

skype 1.1 does not work on jailbreak iPhones. i've mine install and it doesn't work. So you may not want to upgrade now.

Funny, works fine with mine. Even better than 1.0 in fact, clearer sound and quicker connection time. Using a 2G unlocked and jailbroken.

thats what it said when i opened it, and i was worried it would not work/break the VoIP over 3g hack you can get through cydia, but it dialed over 3g and didn't give me any trouble.

Works great with 3G unlocked and jailbroken.

Skype puts up that error message because some people have reported problems with running the app on jailbroken phones, but it's always worked fine for me, 1.0 and 1.1.
