Spotify has begun the integration of social media into its music service and added an import feature for your current library, according to Music Ally.
In the new update Spotify builds on Facebook Connect allowing you to import friends from your profile and publish updates to your feed.
New Features ● Profiles can be published to Facebook, blogs or personal websites. Weekly top six tracks and artists can also be published. ● Playlists can be shared and published when created. Users can choose which playlists to publish or keep private. ● Playlists can be subscribed to in one click from within Spotify or from Facebook. Subscription activity is published. ● Subscriber numbers are shown next to the playlist name and friends who have subscribed are visible in a submenu. ● Tracks or albums can be starred and grouped into a favourites folder. ● Users have an inbox to which tracks can be dragged and dropped for recommendation. Songs appear in the inbox and can then be clicked and streamed by the user whose inbox they have been dropped to, making song recommendations a quick drag and drop affair.
The other significant update is the ability to import MP3s from your hard drive into the Spotify library. Meanig you can now search, play, and share all your music from one place.
