Cpich, a member of the iPhone Dev-Team, has heard that Apple is planning to update the iPhone firmware today which will prevent JailbreakMe.com from working.
A little birdie told me ios update due in a few hours (better to believe than ignore) so go ahead and save your SHSH before it's too late!
Saving your SHSH blobs will let you restore to a firmware version that can be jailbroken and unlocked.
You can save your SHSH blobs by jailbreaking your device, opening Cydia, and pressing the "make my life easier button". However, we recommend using one of the firmware umbrella tutorials below to be absolutely sure you have them saved.

It is a security patch. Just imagine the bad things a website can do with your iphone, using the same exploit jailbrakeme use.

It is not a security update. If it was, why didn't they update the iPhone 2G software? Oh wait, it is because it is considered "obsolete". It just so happens that the iPhone 2G jailbreak can't be "fixed" through software, so Apple just doesn't care.
This "security update" is a joke. I wish Apple stopped working so hard to stop jailbreaking, and started dealing with real problems; like the unbelievably short battery life of the iPhone 3G on iOS4.0.

Yes, but Apple won't be signing his SHSH any more that's what he is worried about. At least that's my understanding there may be another way to save the SHSH but I don't know.
