AT&T Evaluating Support for Personal Hotspot

Posted January 12, 2011 at 5:42pm by
An AT&T spokesperson has just commented on AT&T's plans to support the Personal Hotspot feature that was introduced in the iOS 4.3 beta. Currently, the company is "evaluating" support for the Personal Hotspot feature. Verizon announced yesterday that their version of the iPhone 4 will support Personal Hotspot (up to 5 devices).

Most likely, AT&T is waiting to see what Verizon announces for their iPhone plans before making a decision.

Funny, everything cool that's coming out that people will have to pay extra for has been out for a while now. So for those of us who jailbreak our phones, there's really nothing exciting to look forward to. We want new hardware, because the software is always jailbroken anyway.

Friends, for only $19.95 a month, you too can have your very own personal hotspot from AT&T, plus tax, delivery charges, and any other charge they can tack on! I can't wait until my AT&T contract runs out, I'll jump to Verizon so fast!

You'll be jumping out of the pan into the fire. Trust me I left them for AT&T and they have lots and lots of problems of their own.

Let him go. More people switch to VZW the faster internet and faster/better service we have.

19.95 a month plus a 20 dollar tethering fee, not bad for $40.00. Oh wait, plus your data plan, $25 for only 2 crappy gigs. $65.00 plus your text plan $20 and your minute plan $49. Do the math, all this can be yours for about $135.00, and all this does not include unlimited data.
