The iPhone Dev team has just released PwnageTool 4.3.2 which adds support for iOS 4.3.2. The jailbreak uses i0n1c's untether, which Apple did not fix in 4.3.2. Ultrasn0w has also been updated to 1.2.2 adding support for the new firmware.
Update #3: PwnageTool 4.3.2 now includes the iOS 4.3.2 untether from @i0n1c. (And look, the PwnageTool and iOS version numbers actually match!).
Note that there’s a corresponding update to ultrasn0w, which has been bumped up to v1.2.2 to get along with iOS 4.3.2 (the ultrasn0w update does not include any new baseband support!). Please reboot your iPhone using the normal “slide to power off” swipe after installing ultrasn0w 1.2.2.
We will be updating our tutorials shortly :)

Hi.
I have been looking around, but I could not find any explanation on why it is not possible (from the technical point of view) to downgrade the iPhone's baseband. Any recommended reading to better understand this problem? Thanks!
I am on iPhone4 iOS 4.2.1 Tmobile USA bootloader 1.59. Everytime ultrsnow gets updated my tmobile USA service gets lost more often. My full 5 bars just suddenly dissapear and to get them back i have to reboot my iPhone 4. If i toggle airplane mode i would get "INVALID SIM" so my only option is to reboot, and sometimes i would have to reboot more then once (like 3 or 4 sometimes) its kinda annoying but i think this should be looked into. thanks dev team.
Hey can someone suggest to me what firmware should i put on my 3gs? Currently i am still on 4.0.1 and i'm due to update iOS soon, so now i'm trying to figure out if should i put latest 4.3.2 or maybe 4.1 or 4.2.1.. so if anyone can tell what is the best current firmware for 3gs? I heard that on latest iOS battery drains faster and that it is more laggy than 4.1 .. thanks
I don't think you have a choice. You can only go to 4.3.2 since I doubt you have the blob for any of the iOS version between your old rev and here. I'm in the same situation.
Nope. I tried it to see if I could use it on iOS 4.2.7 and got an error message. If you've got your 4.2.6 hashes on Cydia, then your best best would be to use PWNage Tool 4.2 with 4.2.6 and downgrade into your jailbreak. Also, the current version of Redsn0w doesn't support 4.2.7 (already tried that too).
If I am on att should I use this Pawnage tool update ? my iphone4 is jail broken on 4.3.2
The problem my face time doesn't work .
Every time i make a call on face time it says call fails.
I know it has to do with jailbreak cuz my friends have iphone 4 non jail broken .
Theirs work perfectly on 4.3.2 and 4.3.1
Any =way I can fix it ?
Why hasn't the dev team released any new baseband exploits? They PROMISED updates for 5.15.xx last fall (3GS) and have left iP4 users sitting without an unlock for almost a year now.
If there's no hope of an exploit, it would be nice if they just said so, rather than toying people along with useless "compatibility updates".
The dev team also messed up 3GS users with the 6.15 iPad baseband recommendation, leaving many users without GPS capability. They eluded to a tool which would downgrade baseband firmware for users who lost GPS, but haven't delivered. They are personally responsible for this issue as it was them who released it and continues to this day to recommend it, without initially understanding the consequences.
Continuing to run (by means of preserving) OLD BASEBAND is not a good thing. The baseband updates contain many fixes and stability updates for bluetooth, wifi and cellular radio performance. Staying with OLD BASEBAND for eternity is unreasonable and stupid.
Thank you to i0n1c for his hard work and dedication to jailbreaking iOS. Everyone appreciates what you're doing very much. Cheers mate.
