LG CEO Confirms Next iPad Will Have Retina Display?

LG Display CEO Kwon Young-soo may have confirmed that the next iPad will feature a Retina Display, according to the Korea Times.

The CEO told reporters on Thursday that more smartphone manufacturers will release new models employing LG's 'Retina Display' that has been used in iPhones and iPads. However, the iPad currently does not use a Retina Display; neither has a Retina Display iPad been announced by the company.

Earlier this week, Daring Fireball's John Gruber also stated the iPad 3 would use a 2048x1536 retina display.
