A 'Definite ETA' for the iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 Jailbreak is 'Before 2014'

Winocm, the hacker working on the iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 jailbreak, says that a 'definite ETA' for the release is 'before 2014'.

The hacker made the announcement on Twitter earlier today:

Thanks to everyone who are dumping iPad kernels. It helps a lot. It speeds things up with the 6.1.3/.4 jailbreak. (A lot).

A definite ETA is before 2014. Please also be patient. We are all trying to get things done as soon as possible.

No. Here are many people who stay on 6.1.3 because hackers said, 'if you want to jailbreak, do not upgrade to iOS 7.' Personally, I prefer the standard look of my 6.1.3. We are still waiting for the 6.1.3 - 6.1.4 untethered jailbreak.

Hello everyone, do not expect an easy and fast iOS 7 jailbreak for the following reason. Apple likely views jailbreaking as a higher security risk now because iOS 7 collects so much private, sensitive data (fingerprints, voice prints, location, passwords). Apple will not allow this data to be compromised via jailbroken devices. Someone could prepare a JB app that collects that data. Stay calm regarding the iOS 7 jailbreak.

Apple should be smart and allow some loop hole for each major iOS version release. For example, they should allow iOS 7 to be jailbroken. That way, everyone will shift to the latest iOS. Then in version 7.1, they can then try to block jailbreaks. Move everyone off the older iOS version!

Why is everyone excited about 6.1.3/4 jailbreak when they should be working on a iOS 7 jailbreak!

I personally can't wait for them to release it because I was going to stick with regular apple software until ios 7 beacuse apple screwed people with itouches over because they only released it to the newest generation so now if I want anything cool I need to jailbrake my iPod. and it just gets back at apple for only releasing ios 7 to 1 generation of itouches I guess

I'm at 5.1.1 (JB) on a 4S is this gonna work for me or am I out of luck?

Unfortunately you are out of luck. Your iDevice has a A5 processor and the JB is only possible if you are on iOS 6.13/14 - which Apple isnt signing anymore.

Can some people start a plea to ask him to use these exploits for an iOS 7 jailbreak instead? 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 doesn't provide anything significant and this might very well delay a iOS 7 jailbreak as Apple might patch the exploits in 7.1 which may result in the dev team delaying a 7 jailbreak even further.

Those exploits they are using for the 6.1.X jailbreak have been patched in ios7.
