iPhone 12 Mini Review Roundup [Video]

Apple has lifted the embargo on reviews of its new 5G iPhone 12 mini.

The new device features a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR display, 2340-by-1080-pixel resolution at 476 ppi, A14 Bionic processor, Dual 12MP camera system (Ultra Wide and Wide), and much more.

Apple finally made a small iPhone, the iPhone 12 mini. In this review, we explain how the only things you really give up because of the smaller size are battery life and how immersive it can feel. Otherwise, you get the same camera, same processor, and same 5G as the larger iPhones.

iPhone 12 Mini is truly a shrunken version of iPhone 12. Compact flagships aren't dead!

Engadget
The Apple iPhone 12 Mini is the first flagship-quality small phone we've seen in a while. For about $100 less than a standard iPhone 12, you get a device that packs the same camera and A14 processor, but into a device with a compact 5.4 inch screen. Still, despite the size, the edge-to-edge screen feels much roomier than the display on the similarly sized iPhone SE we reviewed earlier this year. Apple has done a great job maintaining all the power the functionality of the full iPhone 12, including 5G support, but the 12 Mini does suffer from one drawback common to smaller phones: it's battery life is kind of lousy.

CNET
The iPhone 12 Mini does something many of us wanted: It's a truly small phone without compromises. Making a device that comes in different sizes doesn't seem like a big deal. And yet it is, because it's an iPhone. I spent a week putting the iPhone 12 Mini through its paces to see if it makes sense, in 2020, to have a phone this small.

You start to doubt. Will Apple ever make a smaller iPhone again? Could Apple? Would the OLED display even be legible or practical? Would the latest, greatest A-series processor be able to run without burning or browning out? Would a battery that small with a chipset and display that big even last more than an hour and change? And, for small iPhone lovers, for years, the only answer has been nothing and more nothing. Until now. Until the iPhone 12 mini.
