Apple's next generation iPad Pro with M5 chip is expected to enter mass production in the second half of 2025, according to a new report from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This timetable would suggest a release date in late 2025 or early 2026.
In a post today, Kuo says BYD Electric will assemble the M5 iPad Pro and will also become the exclusive assembler for the rumored display-equipped HomePod.
Following its role in assembling iPads, the company has secured another new assembly order from Apple, further strengthening its position as a key assembly supplier in Apple's supply chain
Additionally, Kuo predicts that Tianma Microelectronics will be the exclusive panel supplier for the display-equipped HomePod, giving the company significant growth potential in the future.
The Chinese smartphone market is expected to recover from its decline and return to growth (approximately 2–4% YoY) in 2025. Additionally, the company's increasing market share in smartphone OLED panels will contribute positively to its 2025 business outlook.
