Apple is in the process of manufacturing an AWS-compliant iPhone, according to the executive Vice-President of Vidéotron.
Canada's Quebecor launched the new mobile service today. Similar to T-Mobile it uses AWS spectrum to offer 3G service.
Engadget reports that during the launch Q&A, Vidéotron's VP noted that Apple was building an AWS-compliant iPhone and that we should "expect an announcement in the coming months" regarding Vidéotron's launch of the device.
This corroborates an earlier report which said that talks between Apple and T-Mobile are at an advanced stage with an 80 percent likelihood that the T-Mobile will get the device.
