Voici la procédure pour faire croire à votre iPhone qu'il se trouve sur un réseau Wi-Fi et profiter de la VOIP en 3G ainsi que d'autres avantages.

La version actuelle de VoIPover3G créée par crash-x supporte nativement Fring, Truphone, App Store et iTunes Store.

Votre iPhone doit être jailbreaké pour que se tutoriel puisse fonctionner. Si ce n'est pas le cas, vous pouvez trouver la procédure à suivre ici.

Etape 1
Lancer Cydia depuis le Springboard de votre iPhone.

Etape 2
Sélectionnez l'onglet Sections en bas de l'écran..

Etape 3
Appuyez sur System dans la liste des sections.

Etape 4
Appuyer sur VoIPover3G dans la liste des Packages pour le sélectionner.

Etape 5
Appuyez sur le bouton Install en haut à droite de l'écran.

Etape 6
Appuyez sur le bouton Confirm en haut à droite de l'écran.

Etape 7
Une fois l'installation terminée appuyez sur le gros bouton Return to Cydia.

Etape 8
Vous devriez maintenant pouvoir utiliser App Store, Fring, Truphone, et iTunes Store en 3G. Votre téléphone fonctionnera comme si il était sur un réseau Wi-Fi.

NOTES:
Vous pouvez également définir manuellement les applications que vous souhaitez faire fonctionner en mode "simulation Wi-Fi". Pour se faire, vous devez accéder à votre téléphone via SSH et ajouter l'identifiant de l'application dans le fichier “/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist”.

Vous trouverez les instructions pour accéder à votre iPhone via SSH ici.

Vous aurez besoin de localiser le fichier VoIPover3G.plist et de le transférer sur votre ordinateur.

Ensuite ouvrez le fichier avec Property List Editor, ajoutez l'identifiant de l'application à la liste, et transférer à nouveau le fichier sur votre iPhone.

Does not work for appstore or youtube anymore as of 2/17/2010. Could only get skype to work. I have my config like this Filter = {Bundles = ("com.Fringland.Fring", "com.skype.skype", "com.apple.AppStore", "com.apple.MobileStore", "com.audiofile.Interstate", "com.apple.youtube");};

Can i just clarify something...if i set this up does this mean that i can essentially get free internet on the listed apps above ie appstore, itunes etc. I am currently on a plan that charges me 99c a day to use 3g but if i use this above method will this mean that i get away with it for free, as the phone thinks it is on wi fi as opposed to 3g??

No u cant get internet for free. In Brazil we can conect all day for just 25 cents! :)

will this work with skype? i had fring and it works beautifully, but skype i'm having problem going online using 3G connnection.

Have the same not-working over 3G problem as lots of people complainting about here. But work like a charm after install the winterboard. mine is the 3G 2.2 brand new JB & yellowsn0w iphone. like to share with you guys to make full usage of this woderful piece. also thanks iclarified for the excellent instruction!!

Anyone having problems with Fring, unistall Voipover3g, go to Fring, make a call and after reinstall Voipover3g that should get it to work. did for me

I got itunes to work with "Voipover3g" edit your VoipOver3g.plist, located in /library/mobilesubstrate/dynamiclibrays/ And copy the format of the "com's" Add In "com.apple.mobileipod" Works Like a charm, Glad i jailbroke this fine piece of technology

Thanks for your help it was greatly appreciated. I would like to say if you want to add PennyTel to the list just add "com.pennytel.iphoneos.PennyTelMobile" This will allow you to VoIP over 3G works great!....I am running 2.1 firmware on my Iphone and now i can VoIP where ever i want to with kick ass cheap call rates :)

Hi I have pennytel on my iphone 3g and have installed voip3g program but pennytel doesn't work it says you are not connected to wifi. How do I add "com.pennytel.iphoneos.PennyTelMobile" someone please help. Thanks

please explain why I would want to enable VoIP on 3G? this seems duplicitous... pay for VoIP, then pay to use it on a cell network? Even at simple data plan rates, I don't see the payoff aside from the act of being able to do it. anyone explain this to me? f

iClarified please remove this tutorial as it is useless because it does NOT work. I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to make these tutorials but the developer of this tweak needs to test this out only thing that I was able to do was to make calls via fring/skype but that's about it. appstore/itunes do NOT work.
