Voici les instructions pour faire un jailbreak untethered de votre iPhone 4 en 5.0.1 en utilisant RedSn0w pour Windows, le tutoriel pour la version Mac se trouve ici..

Cette procédure entrainera la mise à jour de votre baseband, annulant vos chance de desimlockage. Suivez ce tutoriel sur comment mettre à jour vers iOS 5.0.1 en utilisant un ipsw customisé si vous avez besoin de desimlocker.

Si vous voulez jailbreaker un firmware moins récent vous pouvez trouver le tutoriel approprié ici.

Etape 1
Créez une dossier Pwnage sur votre bureau.

Téléchargez la dernière version de RedSn0w ici et placez-là dans le dossier Pwnage. De la même façon, téléchargez le firmware 5.0.1 ici et placez-le dans le dossier Pwnage. (Note: vous n'avez pas besoin de télécharger le firmware 5.0.1 si vous êtes déjà en 5.0.1)

Extraire l'archive RedSn0w zip en double cliquant dessus.

Etape 2: (Vous pouvez passer cette étape si vous avez déjà installé le firmware 5.0.1 sur votre appareil.)
Connectez votre iPhone à votre ordinateur et lancez iTunes

Choisissez votre iPhone dans la liste des appareils sur la gauche. Maintenant, en maintenant la touche Shift (maj) enfoncée, cliquez sur le bouton Restaurer. Une restauration est préférable car elle laissera le maximum d'espace disponible sur votre iPhone.

Naviguer jusqu'au dossier Pwnage sur votre bureau et choisissez le firmware 5.0 ipsw. Cliquez sur le bouton Choisir pour continuer.

iTunes va mettre à jour votre iPhone avec le nouveau firmware.

Etape 3
Démarrez l'application redsn0w depuis le dossier redsn0w que nous avons extrait précédemment.

**Les utilisateurs de Windows 7 pourraient avoir besoin d'éxécuter redsn0w en mode administrateur et compatibilité Vista.
Vous pouvez faire cela en utilisant un clic droit sur l'exécutable et en choisissant Propriétés dans le menu contextuel.

Etape 4
Une fois que RedSnOw s'ouvre cliquez sur le bouton Jailbreak.

Etape 5
Branchez votre iPhone sur votre ordinateur et assurez-vous qu'il est éteint (OFF) puis cliquez sur le bouton Next

Etape 6
RedSn0w va maintenant vous guider au travers des étapes nécessaires au passage en mode DFU. Vous pouvez trouver plus d'aid sur le mode DFU ici

Pressez les deux boutons Home et Power pendant 10 secondes.

Relâchez uniquement le bouton Power et continuez à appuyer sur le bouton Home jusqu'à ce que RedSn0w détecte l'appareil.

Etape 7

Votre iPhone va maintenant rebooter.

Etape 8
RedSn0w va maintenant préparer les données pour le jailbreak.

Etape 9

Sélectionnez Cydia dans la liste des options et cliquez sur Next.

Etape 10
Votre iPhone va maintenant encore rebooter et RedSn0w va commencer à téléverser le nouveau RAM Disk et le noyau.

Etape 11
Une fois que tout cela est terminé, vous serez averti que RedSn0w a terminé. Quand votre iPhone a fini de rebooter (5 minutes environ) il sera jailbreaké et Cydia sera installé sur le springboard.

plz help me with this i jail-broke my ( iphone 4 - factory unlocked ) successfully some cydia tweaks doesn't working ... that's ok i already knew it before but i realized a drain in my battery life so i tried to get back yo the stock ios 5.0.1 by making a clean restor with iTunes but a had a complete failure with such a stupid errors such as: 3194 ... 21....1601....1603 till now i tried to edit my host file ... tinyumbrella .... iREB.... redsnow........any many suggestions i found it on the internet with no result still stuck on 5.0.1 any ideas !!!!!!!!

Hey, Anytime i try to run this is crashes at the end of stage one, I did get it completely done once before so i know it's the right one. But i had to restore and lost the jailbreak,.. But anytime i try it now it crashes at the end of stage one.. then i've to run a back up to get my phone working again as it's a blank screen and will not turn off./ or on.

I am going to upgrade iPhone 4 (GSM) currently running iOS 4.3.3 (jailbroke) with modem firmware 4.10.01. I don't need to unlock. Can I simply Restore in iTunes or do I need to Shift+Restore using the firmware found on this site?

Hi all, i had an iphone 4 baseband: 2.10.04, Itune v 10.5.2. I'd like to upgrade 5.0.1 and follow this tutorial by; downloaded redsn0w_win_0.9.10b3 and iPhone3_3_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw. Then i had problem with the first step when i try to "restore iPhone3_3_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw" with Itune, it's said "this firmware is not compatible". Could anyone help me to solve this out? Appreciate for the next reply.

Hi, Check if your i phone is CDMA or GSM. You have to download the correct version of the the fimware according to this.

see on back of your i device model A1332 so that should be a gsm if not it'll be CDMA
