Apple has released a new ad titled "The Nature of Flight," centered around a classroom science project and the tools students are using to complete it. The spot puts the MacBook Neo front and center, giving one of the first real looks at how Apple sees it being used by students.
It starts in a science lab where a student uses an iPad to identify a live parrot. The moment highlights Visual Intelligence, part of Apple's push into on-device AI that helps interpret what's in front of you. After taking a photo, the student quickly identifies the bird as an Amazona and pulls up relevant context for the class project.
The ad then shifts to collaboration, with students moving between the M4 iPad Air and the aluminum MacBook Neo. It also shows Apple Creator Studio, the recently launched subscription service that brings professional AI tools to Keynote, Pages, and Freeform. The interface throughout reflects the translucent Liquid Glass design language introduced across Apple's platforms last year.
Apple positions the $599 Neo as a high-value alternative to Chromebooks and entry-level Windows PCs. The MacBook Neo is already available starting at $599, with full price history and tracking on our Price Tracker. Despite its iPhone-class A18 Pro chip, the ad shows the laptop handling 3D modeling and multi-app workflows. Other clips feature students using Apple Pencil Pro, augmented reality, and using AirDrop to move large video files between devices.
The spot wraps up by framing the current lineup of hardware and intelligence features as tools built for everyday learning.
Take a look at the video below.
