Apple Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at 'Hello, MacBook Neo' Ad [Video]

Apple has released a short behind-the-scenes video showing how its teams made the introductory commercial for the MacBook Neo. The clip focuses on the practical effects and physical props used to create the final look.



The YouTube Short takes a look at the making of the "Hello, MacBook Neo" spot. Rather than relying entirely on CGI, Apple used stop-motion animation, LED strip lights, miniature confetti cannons, and a simulated trackpad. These elements were captured in-camera, then combined with digital effects during post-production.


Unveiled in March, the $599 MacBook Neo has drawn strong demand. Outgoing Apple CEO Tim Cook described the rollout as the company's best launch week ever for first-time Mac buyers. Inventory is currently sold out into next month, with Apple reportedly weighing production increases to keep up.
