How to Jailbreak Your iPhone Using JailbreakMe [4.0.0, 4.0.1]

These are instructions on how to jailbreak any iPhone (including the iPhone 4) on iOS 4 using JailbreakMe by Comex. Before beginning make sure your device is activation on iOS 4.0.0 or 4.0.1.

Step One
Press to launch Safari from your Springboard.

How to Jailbreak Your iPhone Using JailbreakMe [4.0.0, 4.0.1]

Step Two
Press to select the address bar and input http://jailbreakme.com then press the Done button.

Step Three
To begin the jailbreak simply move the slider to right.

Step Four
You will be displayed a status bar as the download progresses.

Step Five
Once the download is complete the jailbreak process will begin

Step Six
Once you are notified that the jailbreak process is complete press the OK button.

Press the Home button to reveal Cydia on your desktop!

Congratulations you are done! You may now continue by installing UltraSn0w to unlock you device. iPhone 4 users still need to wait a bit for an UltraSn0w update which will arrive shortly.

i downloaded using the jailbreakme.com all ok there but when i went to cydia i get error "unable to load" the certificate for this server is invalid.......help!

Help me pleas! - iphone 3gs - IOS 4.0 - new bootrom - Jailbreaken with ( Jailbreak me ) ----- The Proplem : The device stoped in ( appele screan ) and I tray to Restore the iphone with itunes to the same 4.0 or up than , it dosent accept that ,,, there is a error massege ( The iphone culd not be restored An Unowon error occurred 3014 ) help me pleas,,, I think , I lost my 3gs ,,,

put your iphone in DFU mode and the hit restore,but its going to upgrade your iphone to 4.1 and then u cant jailbreak it using jailbreakme.com

Hi, is there anyway to pass the recovery screen to access safari? I have a non activated iphone 3gs, now with 3.0 jailbroken and unlock. But if i upgrade to 4.0.1 i will get stuck in recovery mode?

u cant delete cydia! maybe its hidden for some reason,go to spotlight search and search for cydia

I just tried to go to the jailbreakme.com page and it looks as if its down my iphone does not show the jailbreakme.com page it says " PlaceHolder Page" "The owner of this website has not put up any web pages yet please come back later" is the server down? when i go to the site on my imac it looks like its working but my iphone wont.

hi, i'm using iphone 3GS firmware 3.1.2, trying to restore to 4.0.1 firmware through iTunes by using Shift-Restore button and select the file (iPhone2,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore). It prompt me that my iPhone will erase and restore, verified with Apple. So i proceed to restore. When verifying with Apple, it prompt to say that "device are not eligible to this restore". Anyone has any solution to this problem?

I have the same problem!!! I'm not sure should u first upgrade to 4.1 with iTunes in order to be able to downgrade or what?:)

So guys, i'm trying to jailbreak my new iphone 4. But when i went to look at the version I had, it was the 4.0.2, how do I change it back to 4.0.1? any help would be appreciated. thanks

You can follow step by step: 1. Click Safari. 2. From web Safari type google.com. 3. From Google search jailbreakme. 4. Find jailbreakme 2.0. 5. Click jailbreakme 2.0. Good luck.

Quite new to all this, so my questions might appear naive... I understand that OS 4.0.2 cannot be jailbroken and therefore unlocked. Am I right? My problem is that WiFi stopped working, I was on OS 2.something and unlocked. I gave it to a repair shop to fix Wifi and they upgraded to 4.0.2 and now not only the wifi was not fixed, but ofcource the phone is locked as well. Putting the iphone in the freezer for 15 minutes gives me about 45 minutes of wifi... What can I do A. about jailbraking B. fixing the Wifi? Thanks in advance

Hi guys =) Problems.. I tried this before and it worked on my 3gs 4.01 ios. But i accedently restored everythig on it :S it went black.. finally got ios 4.0 in it. but now it dosent work at all for me.. :( How come? anyone has any tips? I tried reset network settings and safari cache history and cookies.
