RedSn0w 0.9.5 can still jailbreak the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch 2G (non MC) on the iOS 4.0.2 firmware, according to a tweet by MuscleNerd.
To jailbreak your device use this version of RedSn0w simply follow one of the tutorials below and select the 4.0.0 instead of the 4.0.2 firmware when using the application.

If you are using a powerbook Mac 1.33 can you use this? I get a download that has a slash over it and when I click on it states can not use on this. Any help ? I didn't any different requirements needed

Hey guys i just noticed that you can still go back to 4.0.1 just download the 4.0.1 firmware from the net and then go to itunes and press shift key and update at the same time and that will do it ....it works tested by me just now ...this only may last for today or tomorrow so do it fast....enjoy.
