Cisco has hired former Apple exec Mark Papermaster to work on chips for switches, according to Fox News reporter Shibano Joshi.
Cisco hires former Apple exec - Mark Papermaster - to work on chips for switches. Papermaster left Apple after the iphone 4 antenna fiasco
Papermaster was stolen away from IBM by Apple in late 2008. IBM then sued to prevent him from joining Apple. The suit was eventually settled and Papermaster began work at Apple in April of 2009.
In August of 2010 it was rumored that Papermaster was canned by Apple due to the Antennagate scandel surrounding the iPhone 4. Later that month it was reported that Papermaster left due to a falling out with Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
Rumor has it that Mark was against the antenna placement on the 4. But, someone had to take the fall and who better than the guy that was dead set against the idea in the first place. Try telling this to the (self-appointed) fanboys and they'll yell 'foul'!
