AppSlide Tweak Turns Your Home Button Into a Back Button

Posted June 18, 2011 at 1:01pm by
AppSlide is a new Cydia tweak by chpwn that turns your home button into a back button.

This tweak will use a sliding panel-like configuration when one app launches another app. Then pressing the home button will act to send you back to the first app without returning to the homesreen.

No new icons are added to your homescreen. Configure the Activator method for the appslide back button from your Settings app. (it is the Home button by default)

You can see the tweak demonstrated in the video. You can download it from the BigBoss Cydia Repository.

nope.avi Sorry, but not all of us like to be redirected to the App Store and quickly double-hit Home, then scroll over a page of apps or two to the previously used app (of which there is no indication that it was used). It's a lot easier to hit Home, isn't it?
