Apple is kicking off 2026 with a fresh slate of workout content and motivation tools designed to help users stick to their New Year's resolutions. The company today unveiled four new workout programs for Apple Fitness+, added major names to its Artist Spotlight series, and released new data suggesting Apple Watch users are actually pretty good at avoiding the dreaded "Quitter's Day."
According to a new analysis from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, Apple Watch users tend to keep their momentum going well past the second Friday in January, a date often cited as when most resolutions fail. To help keep that streak alive, Apple is launching a "Ring in the New Year" limited-edition award for closing activity rings seven days in a row this month. For the first time, there is also a "Quit Quitting" challenge on Strava, where logging 12 workouts in January earns a special digital badge.
Starting January 5, Fitness+ subscribers will see four new multi-week training plans designed to take the guesswork out of daily exercise. These include "Make Your Fitness Comeback," a four-week mix of Strength, HIIT, and Yoga, and specific programs for building a yoga habit or mastering strength basics. The service is also expanding its Artist Spotlight series with workouts featuring KAROL G, followed by a Bad Bunny playlist in February to coincide with the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. New episodes of Time to Walk will feature guests like Penn Badgley and Mel B.
The new content is designed to leverage Apple's latest hardware lineup. The Apple Watch Series 11 and the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 3 provide advanced tracking metrics, while the Apple Watch SE 3 offers an entry point with the S10 chip. For users who rely on audio, the AirPods Pro 3 can also display real-time heart rate data onscreen during workouts. You can track the price history of these devices and set up instant price drop alerts with the iClarified Apple Watch Price Tracker and AirPods Price Tracker.
This content rollout follows a major expansion of the service last month, which brought Fitness+ to 28 new markets and introduced digital dubbing features.
