Apple has started inviting select content creators to an "Apple Experience" event in Los Angeles later this month. The gathering is scheduled for January 27 through January 29, prompting speculation that new professional Mac hardware could debut alongside the company's latest software services.
Creator Petr Mara shared a look at the invite on Instagram. The dates align with the launch of the Apple Creator Studio subscription bundle, which officially becomes available on Wednesday, January 28. The service brings professional tools like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro for iPad together into a single monthly plan.
While the event appears centered on creative workflows, the timing suggests hardware could be involved. Apple updated the base 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip back in October, but the high-end configurations remain on previous-generation silicon. Supply chain reports have consistently indicated that 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models powered by M5 Pro and M5 Max chips were slated for release in early 2026.
Internal code discovered on a prototype device last month also referenced unreleased MacBook Pro models with identifiers J714 and J716. These machines are expected to feature more powerful variants of the M5 silicon, offering the GPU performance and memory bandwidth needed to support AI-driven features in Apple's updated creative apps.
The event concludes just hours before Apple's next quarterly earnings call on Thursday, January 29. Apple has previously announced spec-updated products via press release earlier in the same week as its financial results.
