Google has issued a statement on the Apple vs. Samsung verdict saying that most of the infringements don't relate to the core Android OS.
The court of appeals will review both infringement and the validity of the patent claims. Most of these don't relate to the core Android operating system, and several are being re-examined by the US Patent Office. The mobile industry is moving fast and all players -- including newcomers -- are building upon ideas that have been around for decades. We work with our partners to give consumers innovative and affordable products, and we don't want anything to limit that.
I am an American and I completely agree with you. Samsung makes great products and Apple got scared of what they where doing so Apple made deals with the jury's and paid the judge under the table to win the court case. That's just how this world is.
Saying only heart surgeons and people who have a vested interest can serve on juries is attacking the entire judicial philosophy. You can only win in court if you can explain in layman's terms what the problem is. The jury awarded this decision, not the judge, so don't make idiotic assertions that Apple paid anyone off. They made a rational decision not based on the 'look and feel' of the device but on specific components, like the "pinch to zoom" and other technological innovations.
Exactly. That's why they didn't sue Google. The problem was Samsung not Google. But that's obvious. Now I can continue hating Samsung phones. And people don't have to assume I hate 'Android' phones.
