Apple's 13-inch M5 iPad Pro has dropped to a new record low of $1,149 today. That is a $150 discount off the regular $1,299 price tag, beating previous sales we've seen since the tablet launched late last year. It's the lowest price yet for Apple's latest flagship tablet.
Apple released this updated Pro model in October, and it represents a fairly significant overhaul for the lineup. It runs on the M5 chip, which is built on third-generation 3-nanometer technology. The silicon features a 10-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and dedicated hardware to accelerate AI workloads, pushing AI performance up to 3.5 times higher than the previous M4 generation. Notably, Apple bumped the memory on the base 256GB and 512GB configurations to 12GB of RAM to better handle those on-device workloads.
The hardware itself is strikingly thin at just 5.1mm, yet it still packs the Ultra Retina XDR display using tandem OLED technology for 1,000 nits of full-screen brightness. Despite the tight tolerances, the design is more repairable than its predecessors. An iFixit teardown awarded the M5 iPad Pro the highest repair score ever for an iPad, pointing to modular components and much better documentation.
Wireless connectivity also moved in-house with this generation. The iPad Pro uses an Apple-designed wireless chip to support Wi-Fi 7, offering faster speeds and lower latency. The front-facing 12MP Ultra Wide camera was finally moved to the landscape edge as well, making Center Stage much more natural during video calls when the tablet is docked.
The device ships running iPadOS 26 and supports the Apple Pencil Pro. This price applies to the 256GB Wi-Fi model in Space Black. You can check the price history and set up alerts for other configurations using the iClarified iPad Price Tracker.
