Apple has released a firmware update for the AirPods Pro 3 today. The new version is 8B34, up from the 8B30 build released last month.
Apple has not provided specific release notes for this update, listing only "bug fixes and other improvements." The previous firmware update added support for features in iOS 26.2, such as enabling AirPods Live Translation for users in the European Union.
You can check your firmware version by going to Settings > Bluetooth on your iOS device and tapping the Info button next to your AirPods. The version number is listed in the About section. On a Mac, this information is located in System Settings under Bluetooth.
The update installs automatically when your AirPods are in their charging case and connected to an iOS device or Mac. For more detailed instructions, you can follow our guide on how to update AirPods firmware.
The AirPods Pro 3 were introduced in September with a new design, the H2 chip, and a built-in heart rate sensor. If you haven't picked up a pair yet, they are currently on sale for $239.95, down slightly from the retail price of $249.
