Apple may release a minor update to iOS 4 in advance of a press conference tomorrow, according to iPhoneHellas.
The 4.0.1 update would presumably be to fix the signal bar issue. The site expects Apple to release iOS 4.1 around September after a few more beta versions.
It is imperative that those looking to jailbreak save their SHSH Blobs using Firmware Umbrella.

You seem to be confusing them discovering and managing to exploit a bug on their test phones with writing a application that will work on multiple OS and multiple phones with multiple copies of iTunes that automates every single step to the press of one button for you. There is a big difference between "the hack is done and working" and "the program is coded and ready"

If it's not done, it's not done. Apple releasing a update isn't going to make the new spirit magically code it's self into completion.

If we are unlocky they might not release it until after the 4.1 update... but hopefully there will be a jailbreak for 4.0.1 if there is such a update, I am getting the new iphone and i need a jailbreak to replace their crappy multitasking

I agree with you on the 3G cause I tried it, but it actually works really slick on the i4. With that said, I'm dying over here without a jailbreak! I need my SBSettings and LockInfo!
