Apple Highlights Child Safety and Screen Time Controls in New Ad [Video]

Apple has posted a new video showing parents how to use its child safety and Screen Time controls on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The two-minute ad pairs animated graphics with demonstrations of the settings on Apple devices.

A Child Account applies age-based safeguards and lets parents choose the apps available when setting up a child's iPhone or iPad. The video also covers Ask to Buy for app downloads and Ask to Browse, which lets parents approve new websites in Safari.

Communication Safety is featured as well. Apple says it can detect nudity and violent content in shared images and video and intervene before a child views it. For app use, Time Allowances let parents manage time spent in categories such as games and social media, while Schedules control when apps are available during the day.

These controls were released earlier this month as part of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27.
