Apple Posts Video of Chinese Mural Being Painted for Upcoming Hangzhou Store [Watch]

Apple has posted a video of famous calligrapher Wang Dongling creating a mural for the front of the upcoming Hangzhou Store in China.

The mural features a poem by Chinese poet Su Shi of the Song Dynasty, according to reddit member studyro. It's difficult to translate to English while preserving its charm; however, translator Lin Yutan offers the following translation:

The light of water sparkles on a sunny day,
and misty mountains lend excitement to the rain.
I like to compare the west lake to "Miss West".
Pretty in a gay dress,and pretty in simple again.


The poem was likely selected as it refers to West Lake, a freshwater lake in Hangzhou that has influenced poets and painters throughout China's history.
