A new leak from Sonny Dickson offers what may be our first look at Apple's official Crossbody Strap for the iPhone 17. The images, shared on X, showcase a new accessory that is expected to launch alongside the new iPhones this week.
The strap itself features a woven design with what appears to be a magnetic clasp and a flexible metal core, a detail that aligns with a previous report suggesting the accessory would attach without traditional hooks. The photos show the accessory in a vibrant orange finish with metal hardware.
This new accessory lines up with earlier reports that Apple is preparing a new synthetic fabric case to replace its short-lived FineWoven material. That case, possibly branded as 'TechWoven,' is said to feature two distinct holes along the bottom edge, which would be used to attach the crossbody strap.
The strap may also be compatible with other devices, including the rumored AirPods Pro 3. A recent leak suggested the charging case for the next-generation earbuds will get a redesign but retain support for a lanyard, which could work with the new strap.
The new strap and cases are expected to debut alongside the iPhone 17 lineup at Apple's 'Awe dropping' special event on September 9. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for full coverage of the event.
