Boot Speed Test: iPhone 17 Pro Max vs iPhone Air vs iPhone 17 [Video]

Which of Apple's new iPhone 17 models boots the fastest? We put the lineup to the test in our latest video, comparing the iPhone 17, the all-new iPhone Air, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Each device in this test was freshly restored to iOS 26 and set up with the exact same configuration. The new iPhone Air was the fastest to boot, finishing in 12.833 seconds. The standard iPhone 17 came in second with a time of 14.533 seconds, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max was the slowest of the three at 15.766 seconds. This result for the Pro Max is consistent with our recent generational comparison, where it also lagged behind the older iPhone 15 Pro Max.
